ReelShop (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a Shopify application developed and operated by PickCommerce.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ReelShop Shopify app.
1. Information We Collect
When you connect your TikTok account through TikTok’s official OAuth system, we may access:
- Display name and avatar
- Profile web link and deep link
- Bio description
- Verification status (is_verified)
- Statistical data (likes count, follower count, following count, video count)
- Public videos on TikTok
- Open ID
We do NOT collect:
- TikTok passwords
- Direct messages
- Private or non-public content beyond granted permissions
- Any data outside of TikTok’s authorized API scope
All data is accessed strictly through TikTok’s official API.
2. How We Use the Information
We use TikTok data only to:
- Display TikTok video feeds on your Shopify storefront
- Generate grid and carousel layouts
- Show profile information and statistics within the app widget
- Synchronize new posts automatically
We do not sell, rent, or share your TikTok data with third parties.
3. Data Storage
We may store and/or temporarily cache:
- Open ID
- Display name and avatar URL
- Profile web link and deep link
- Bio description
- Verification status
- Statistical data (likes, followers, following, video count)
- Public video URLs, captions, and TikTok video IDs
This is done to improve performance and enable feed display on your storefront.
We do not store sensitive TikTok account credentials or private account information.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share user data.
We may share information only if required by law.
5. User Control
Store owners can:
- Disconnect their TikTok account at any time
- Uninstall the app to remove access
- Request deletion of stored data (see Data Deletion section)
6. Data Security
We use secure servers and HTTPS encryption to protect all data transmitted and stored by the application.
7. Data Retention
TikTok data is retained only while the app is installed.
Upon uninstall, all related stored data is deleted within 30 days.
8. Data Deletion
To request deletion of your data before uninstallation, please contact us directly using the information below. We will process your request within 30 days.
