InstaWall (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a Shopify application developed and operated by PickCommerce.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the InstaWall Shopify app.
1. Information We Collect
When you connect your Instagram account through Meta’s official OAuth system, we may access:
- Instagram account ID
- Instagram username
- Profile information
- Media (photos, videos, captions)
- Public profile data
We do NOT collect:
- Instagram passwords
- Direct messages
- Private personal data beyond granted permissions
All data is accessed strictly through Meta’s Graph API.
Through Shopify’s APIs, we collect only the merchant’s store domain, which is used solely to associate the Instagram feed configuration with the correct Shopify store. We do not collect any other Shopify store data including orders, customers, products, or inventory.
2. How We Use the Information
We use Instagram data only to:
- Display Instagram media feeds on your Shopify storefront
- Generate grid and carousel layouts
- Synchronize new posts automatically
We do not sell, rent, or share your Instagram data with third parties.
3. Data Storage
We may temporarily cache:
- Media URLs
- Captions
- Instagram media IDs
This is done to improve performance.
We do not permanently store sensitive Instagram account information.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share user data.
We may share information only if required by law.
5. User Control
Store owners can:
- Disconnect their Instagram account at any time
- Uninstall the app to remove access
- Request deletion of stored data (see Data Deletion section)
6. Data Security
We use secure servers and HTTPS encryption to protect data.
7. Data Retention
Instagram data is retained only while the app is installed.
Upon uninstall, related stored data is deleted within 30 days.
